Why should you get involved?

"At Fairway, we understand how important it is for teachers and parents to work together in order to achieve the best for our children. A strong home-school partnership and home learning environment is more important now than ever and brings positive impacts for pupils’ academic achievement and enjoyment of learning.

As part of our project with National Numeracy we’re keen to improve attitudes towards maths and encourage families to explore everyday maths together. We’re inviting parents who would like to improve their own confidence with maths to take part in the National Numeracy Challenge."

Did you know?

Did you know that your own feelings towards maths have a big impact on your children? When parents & carers become more confident and capable they pass this on to their children, leading them to aim higher and achieve more themselves.

And maths is not just for school. As adults we use numbers every day: in our jobs, in managing money, and in day-to-day tasks.

So brushing up on our number skills can have benefits for both parents and children.

Take The Challenge

The National Numeracy Challenge is a free, web-based learning tool. It's designed to help you improve your everyday maths skills in manageable steps, whilst building your confidence along the way.
